On November 30 this year by a decision of the Academic Council of Gubkin Russian State University of Gas and Oil, Uzakbai Karabalin, the Vice-Chairman of KAZENERGY Association was awarded the Title of “Doctor Honoris Causa of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas”
Important figures of the Russian scientific and educational field, members of the University Academic Council, as well as Kazakh delegation as invited guests took part in the solemn ceremony.
This title was instituted to recognize distinguished achievements of outstanding Russian and foreign nationals, prominent scientists, scholars, figures of public, international and state work in the world fuel-energy complex development and oil-and-gas sector.
Throughout the university history this honorary title has been given to only 5 outstanding scholars from different countries distinguished by high achievements in gas-and-oil industry who made a significant contribution to development and promotion of scientific potential and educational activities. A representative of Kazakhstan is given this title for the first time.
