The Sectoral Commission on Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor Relations of the Oil and Gas Industry

On September 27, 2019, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the The Sectoral Commission on Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor Relations of the Oil and Gas Industry.

The meeting was attended by the parties of social partnership: authorized state body represented by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; employers, National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken, KAZENERGY Association; representatives of employees represented by trade unions: NGO Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Branch Trade Union, NGO Kazakhstan Branch Trade Union of Oil and Gas Complex, NGO Industrial Trade Union of the Workers of the Chemical, Petrochemical and Related Industries.

At the meeting, changes were made to the members of the Sectoral Commission from the Ministry of Energy and employers in connection with personnel changes.
Information on the progress of work on the development of the draft Sector Agreement in the oil and gas, oil refining and petrochemical industries of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2022 was heard. The working group will continue its work in accordance with the Work Plan and plans to submit the final draft for signing at the next meeting of the Sectoral Commission before the end of this year.

Information from KING JSC on the progress in the development of professional standards in the oil and gas industry was noted, the work will continue in accordance with the schedule of development of sectoral qualifications frameworks and professional standards in the oil and gas sector, and the final projects of professional standards will be presented to the NCE Atameken for further approval at the next meeting of the Sectoral Commission.

Representatives of North Caspian Operating Company N. V. and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V., Tengizchevroil LLP reported on the measures taken to prevent labor conflicts and the work carried out to ensure safe working conditions and reduce industrial injuries at enterprises.
