On this December 5, at 4 p.m., in Nur-Sultan, the videoconference (further – VC) on development of the Atlas of New Professions in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan took place.
The VC was attended by oil and gas companies – members of the Association, invited industry enterprises, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, universities conducting training for the oil and gas industry (Kazakh-British Technical University, Satbayev University, Atyrau Oil and Gas University named after S. Utebayev, Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov), organizations of technical and vocational education (Higher College APEC PetroTechnic, Atyrau Polytechnic College, Mangistau Industrial and Technical College, Zhanaozen College of Oil and Gas), also providing training for the industry.
At the same time, other participants are scientific research and invited organizations represented by Alstrontelecom LLP, NGO Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists, School of Mining and Geosciences of Nazarbayev University, etc. In total, more than 160 people from more than 30 organizations took part in the VC.
The event was organized pursuant to the Roadmap for the implementation of the project “Atlas of new professions and competencies demanded in the labor market”, developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with paragraph 39 of the Action Plan for implementation of the election program of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev “Welfare for all! Continuity. Justice. Progress”.
The purpose of the VC was to review the work carried out in the country in this direction, to inform oil and gas companies about the tasks and plans for the development of the Sectoral Atlas of Professions and to invite all interested parties to actively participate.
The developer of the National Atlas of New Professions in Kazakhstan Sayassat Nurbek answered a number of questions from the participants. The questions concerned both the online survey for the further formation of the pool of experts-developers of the Atlas in the oil and gas industry and the planned examination of professions in the industry, the development of professional standards in the future, the application of the methodology of foresight competencies, the updating of the Sectoral Atlas of Professions and the development of educational programs based on the Sectoral Atlas.
In connection with the instruction of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan A. Mamin at the enlarged meeting of the National Council on Qualifications on this December 4, in Nur-Sultan, the activities for the preparation of the Atlas should be completed in the next April, the first stage is the survey of industry specialists, which will be prepared and sent to the participants of the VC in late December 2019 – early January 2020.
