In addition to the members of the Coordinating Council, representatives of oil and gas trade unions also took part in the meeting as invited guests.
During the meeting of the Coordinating Council the attendees discussed a number of issues, in particular, the Association’s activity as part of the Expert Group on analysis of the law enforcement practice of the employment legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The current status of the Expert Group's work was presented to the participants of the meeting, and the most relevant comments and proposals were substantively discussed. The Coordinating Council decided to submit updated comments and proposals on the employment legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and to Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The members of the Coordinating Council discussed the social partnership as part of the Sectoral Commission for Regulation of Social and Employment Relations in the Oil and Gas Industry. Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sectoral Trade Union of Oil and Gas Industry Workers Public Association and KAZENERGY Association reported on the work done. The Coordinating Council proposed to submit the relevant issues of social partnership and the Industry Agreement in the oil and gas, oil refining and petrochemical industries for 2017-2019, for consideration at the next meeting of the Coordinating Council, scheduled for the end of November 2017.
The participants of the Coordinating Council were presented the information on the Association’s work progress for 9 months of 2017, including the 3rd Forum of the Women's Energy Club, the Youth Forum of the Association as part of the 11th KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum "Creating the Future Energy". The members of the Coordinating Council noted the successful and fruitful work carried out by KAZENERGY Association in this area.
Representatives of Ernst&Young held a workshop on "Assessment of businesses’ contribution to the country’s development". The interest in this topic is related to the possibility of gaining knowledge about assessment of the full contribution of various economic sectors to the country’s development. The meeting participants studied the methodology of assessment of the full contribution to the economy of the country, learned about the advisability of such assessment of business. The workshop organizers told the attendees about the way such an assessment can help the business in decision-making and the method the assessment results can be used as a communication tool, in particular as part of corporate social responsibility of companies. At the end of the workshop, the participants received certificates from Ernst & Young.
Co-Chairperson of the Coordinating Council in the person of Sholpan Batyrbekovna Altybayeva, General Manager of Human Resource Management of Tengizchevroil LLP, was elected at the meeting of the Coordinating Council, and the membership of the Human Resource Development Coordinating Council of KAZENERGY Association was updated.
