About the online meeting with 5 companies developing the Atlas of New Professions in the Oil and Gas Industry

On December 13, at 4 p.m., in Nur-Sultan, KAZENERGY Association organized an additional videoconference (hereinafter – VC) on the development of an Atlas of New Professions in the Oil and Gas Industry of Kazakhstan at the request of individual refineries.
5 (five) companies took part in the work of the VC: Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP, Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP, PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP, Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. LLP, JV CASPI BITUM LLP.

During the discussion, the issue of developing a sub-sectoral Atlas of Professions in the Oil and Gas Processing was raised. Two solutions are proposed taking into account the limited time and resources: the first, not to depart from the planned activities for the development of the main Atlas of New Professions in the Oil and Gas Industry, the second, to begin the development of a sub-sectoral Atlas upon completion of the main one.

As a result of the review, all five companies participating in the VC supported the first version of the decision. However, the issue of developing a sub-sectoral Atlas remains on the agenda and may be considered during the next year.

KAZENERGY Association together with BTS Education LLP, which is a methodological partner for the development of the Atlas of New Professions in Kazakhstan since this December 5, began to implement the Roadmap developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the implementation of the project “Atlas of New Professions and Competencies in Demand in the Labor Market”.

To this end, a number of meetings are held at the initial stage through the videoconferencing, as well as field meetings. On this December, a visiting meeting will be held at the Atyrau University of Oil and Gas named after Safi Utebayev at 2 p.m. in the Centre for the Development of Communication named after N. Balgimbayev.

In January 2020, it is planned to conduct an online survey of industry specialists, followed by the formation and training of a pool of experts of the foresight competence methodology. All industry companies and educational organizations (universities, colleges) engaged in training of specialists and workers for the oil and gas industry are invited to participate in the survey.

It is expected that, until April 2020, experts-developers will develop an Atlas of New Professions in the Oil and Gas Industry of Kazakhstan.
