Bolat Akchulakov, Director General of the KAZENERGY Association, took part in the KIOGE online conference “The New Future of the Oil and Gas Industry: an Era of Change” (September 30 - October 1, 2020)

In his welcome address to the conferees, the Director General of KAZENERGY said: “The crisis has substantially affected the situation with energy resources, many parties concerned strongly believe that the existing situation should facilitate a faster energy transition, and we already see that a number of companies are following the trend of a lean carbon-neutral future by developing knowledge-intensive production facilities and innovative development of processing technologies.”

Mr. Akchulakov expressed his hope that the conference, which is being held online for the first time this year, would become an even more accessible and productive platform for further projects in the domestic oil and gas sector.

Within this context, the continued cooperation between KAZENERGY and the Kazakhstani Exhibition Company ITECA, which are the organizers of two key oil and gas events, i.e. the KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum and the KIOGE Kazakhstan International “Oil and Gas” Exhibition and Conference, creates new opportunities for the development of mutually advantageous cooperation and will heighten the interest of all the conferees. After all, the goal of the two events is to discuss significant issues related to the development of the national power industry, the attraction of innovative technologies and investments to the industry.

It is worth noting that within two days the KIOGE online conference “The New Future of the Oil and Gas Industry: an Era of Change” will discuss the current state of the industry in Kazakhstan and around the world, and strategies for the post-Pandemic development of major companies; matters related to the accomplishment of goals and initiatives under the local content of oil projects were addressed with the NCOC Operator. As part of the conference, two panel discussions will also be held: “From Oil to Petroleum Chemistry, Focus on Non-Resource Opportunities and Green Growth” and “Optimizing Costs for Oil and Gas Companies through Digital Solutions”.

The Conference brings together representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, executives of the largest oil and gas extracting and oil field service companies in the country, the Kazakhstan Society of Petroleum Geologists and a number of major foreign energy and information companies.
