KAZAKHSTAN RECEIVED THE RIGHT TO HOST THE WORLD ENERGY WEEK IN 2021

On September 8, 2019, a meeting of the Executive Assembly of the World Energy Council was held in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). General Director of KAZENERGY Association Bolat Akchulakov took part on behalf of the National Committee at the World Energy Council.

During the meeting, candidates showed their presentations to have the right to hold the World Energy Week in 2021. Following the results of the electronic voting, WEC members supported the candidacy of the Republic of Kazakhstan by a majority of votes.

The KAZAKHSTAN ENERGY WEEK / XII KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum project held for the first time this year is distinguished by a broad global agenda, which attracts great attention from the international community.
It is planned to hold the World Energy Week and KAZAKHSTAN ENERGY WEEK / XIII KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum on a single site in Nur-Sultan in 2021, which will combine common goals and develop new mechanisms for the further development of the world energy.

The extensive program will feature such iconic events as the World Energy Leaders’ Summit, Energy Transition Summit, Future Energy Leaders Summit, Day of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and others.
The event will be attended by more than 350 experts across the energy spectrum, including heads of line ministries, heads of major international organizations and oil and gas corporations, representatives of global think tanks, as well as authoritative experts in the energy and financial industries.
