Interaction with state bodies and public associations
1. Working/Expert Groups

In order to build a constructive dialogue with all interested parties and develop the electric power sector, the KAZENERGY Association collaborates closely with state authorities and public associations. The Association actively participates in the formation and development of strategic directions for the development of the sector by strengthening cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan's Government, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources, the "Atameken" National Chamber and industry public organizations.

The KAZENERGY Association is accredited in key relevant state bodies, actively participates in legislative and normative processes on the development of the electric power sector, including the process of energy transition.

Over 10 years, the Association proposed a number of important legislative initiatives aimed at supporting the sector. In particular, it participated in drafting the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Heat Power Industry", as well as necessary amendments and additions to the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Electric Power Industry", "On Support for the Use of Renewable Energy Sources", "On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency", etc.

The Association also participated in working groups of authorized state bodies for the preparation of draft regulatory legal acts affecting the interests of companies in the sector.

2. Permanent working bodies:
  1. Working Group to develop recommendations on the general electricity policy
  2. Commission to make decisions on organizing and holding auctions for the construction of generating units with a maneuverable generation mode
  3. Working Group to consider investment programs of modernization, expansion, reconstruction and (or) renewal for energy-producing organizations
  4. Working Group on inclusion of energy-producing organizations selling electric power in the groups and approval of marginal tariffs
  5. Management Committee for "Reducing the Risks of Investing in Renewable Energy Sources" Project
  6. Advisory Committee on Electric Power Industry under the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission
  7. Public Council of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan
  8. and others.
