Today, November 14, 2025, a working meeting was held at the KAZENERGY Association office, dedicated to the key issues of development and stable functioning of Kazakhstan’s energy sector.
The meeting brought together representatives of government bodies, industry associations, and the expert community.
The agenda included two main topics:
1. The current state and impact of the targeted support mechanism for regional electric grid companies, and its effect on the price of the Single Buyer.
The report on this topic was presented by specialists from the Renewable Energy Sources Support Settlement and Financial Center (RFS SFC), who outlined the current challenges in the work of the Single Buyer.
2. The functioning of the balancing electricity market.
Representatives of JSC “KOREM” discussed market dynamics and issues of interaction with balancing service providers.
In the current industry context, it is crucial to promptly identify regulatory issues, discuss them with market participants, and propose solutions that contribute to the efficiency of the entire energy system.
Following the discussion, participants emphasized the importance of further work to improve market mechanisms, including enhancing informational transparency.
Particular attention was given to the growing demand from market participants for digitalization and systematization of statistical data, which will increase the transparency of pricing processes, improve forecasting, and strengthen trust among all market participants.
The KAZENERGY Association will continue to provide an open platform for dialogue among industry participants to enhance the efficiency and transparency of Kazakhstan’s electricity market.
