Master-class in the webinar format on a topic: "Attention. Time. Pitch”.
The third webinar on the topic "Attention. Time. Pitch” has been conducted for the Student Energy Challenge contest participants.
The online training has been conducted by a Kazakh scientist, whose start-up attracted investments in the amount of $1 million from the Greek venture fund and several angel investors in London - Arthur Saudabayev.

The material is available at: Presentation.

In accordance with the declared stages of contest, the finishing stage with the presentation of projects of the participating teams is planned on October 2 of this year, and the final round with the speeches in the elevator pitch style (presentation of the project in the time span of an elevator ride or queue for coffee) will be held on October 3 of this year.

During the master-class, the lecturer detailed the structure of the presentation in a short time, shared with the participants the main criteria for correctly arranging the presentation of the project in the elevator pitch style, and told what skills and personal qualities the presenters should have.

Perhaps, some teams already have experience of speeches, but there are also those that will speak in public for the first time. According to Arthur, the quality of the speech of the team depends on many factors, mainly on the successful preparedness and focus on the result.

At the same time, we remind that the winners of the Student Energy Challenge contest (about the contest: http://kazenergy.com/ru/operation/educational-program/140/1099/) will receive prizes from Shell Kazakhstan (up to 10,000 USD) and a two-day training course NXplorers in Astana developed by Shell specialists for the development of critical thinking skills and complex problem solving.

Opinions of participants

Team "Chemical Energy”, West-Kazakhstan Agrarian Technical University named after Zhangir Khan
“This webinar was interesting and informative. Since it raised the issues that almost every start-up is faced with. For example: how correctly and competently to pitch projects to the jury, how to prepare for the pitching itself, what nuances should be paid attention first and foremost, etc. All our questions were answered with detailed answers, which were absolutely clear to each listener. We hope that the knowledge gained within this webinar will serve us not only as an instruction for future performances, but also as a beginning in the development of future startuppers in them.

Team "Kazyna"
Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute named after Academician K. Satpayev
"Excellent, informative and no less informative webinar. Competent analysis of questions. I want to note that absolutely all the information was intelligible and straightforward. We think that we successfully learned this material.”

Team "Association of Innovators"
Almaty University of energy and communications
"Our team liked the webinar on the topic “elevator pitch” very much because everything was quite simple and straightforward, and most importantly, we got answers to all the questions that concern us. I think that now, when we have the keys to all the questions, it will be easier to perform our presentations, because we know in which direction to sail. "

Team “OilDreams”
Atyrau Oil and Gas Univercity
We liked the webinar very much, although it is clear, of course, that for such a small period of time you cannot tell a lot about everything, but Arthur managed to make this hour very informative. All that you said can already be applied in practice. I appreciated the lecturer's ability not only to give information, but also to create conditions for its perception and presentation. Now, I will communicate with the jury more clearly and pay attention to the people sitting in the hall, thanks to the emerging understanding and algorithm of action.”
