On September 18, 2023, the Dewhurst Awards ceremony took place in Calgary (Canada) as part of the 24th World Petroleum Congress. The President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, Mr. Amin Nasser, was awarded a prestigious award in the world of the oil and gas industry.

Representatives of the delegation of Kazakhstan participating in the Forum conveyed to Mr. Nasser the congratulations of the Chairman of the Kazakhstan National Committee WPC Energy and Chairman of the KAZENERGY Association Timur Kulibayev on receiving a high award.

The message conveyed was, "The Dewhurst Award is a testament to your exceptional achievements and recognition of your ongoing efforts to drive progress and excellence in the energy sector. I am sure that your achievements will continue to shape the future of the energy industry for future generations».

The Head of the Kazakhstan National Committee WPC Energy and Chairman of the Association KAZENERGY stressed that the forward-looking, systematic, and highly effective leadership of Mr. Nasser Saudi Aramco not only led the company to success but also had a significant impact on the way the energy industry is developing globally.

Timur Kulibayev, on behalf of the Kazakhstan National Committee of WPC Energy, invited the Dewhurst Prize laureate, Mr. Amin Nasser, to visit Kazakhstan to discuss opportunities for expanding business ties between leading energy companies in Kazakhstan and Saudi Aramco.

For reference: In 1933, Thomas Dewhurst, the President of the Petroleum Institute in the United Kingdom (1881-1973), organized the first World Petroleum Congress. Subsequently, the Prize was named after him, both as a sign of respect and to celebrate the truly outstanding achievements, scientific and technological achievements in the oil industry.
Amin Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, was awarded the WPC Dewhurst Award in recognition of his leadership and contribution to the planet’s oil and gas industry. At the same time, Mr. Nasser is only the twelfth laureate of the Dewhurst Prize in the almost 90-year history of the World Petroleum Council.
