Timur Kulibayev, on behalf of the Kazakhstan National Committee of WPC Energy, invited the Dewhurst Prize laureate, Mr. Amin Nasser, to visit Kazakhstan to discuss opportunities for expanding business ties between leading energy companies in Kazakhstan and Saudi Aramco.
For reference: In 1933, Thomas Dewhurst, the President of the Petroleum Institute in the United Kingdom (1881-1973), organized the first World Petroleum Congress. Subsequently, the Prize was named after him, both as a sign of respect and to celebrate the truly outstanding achievements, scientific and technological achievements in the oil industry.
Amin Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, was awarded the WPC Dewhurst Award in recognition of his leadership and contribution to the planet’s oil and gas industry. At the same time, Mr. Nasser is only the twelfth laureate of the Dewhurst Prize in the almost 90-year history of the World Petroleum Council.
