Kazakhstan offers to create network of polytechnic universities WPC ENERGY

On September 18, 2023, a special educational session was held in Calgary (Canada) within the framework of the 24th World Petroleum Congress, where representatives of Kazakhstan the British Technical University made a presentation of the initiative to create a worldwide network of polytechnic universities under the auspices of WPC Energy.

WPC Energy Vice President Jambulat Sarsenov, KBTU Rector Maratbek Gabdullin, South Alberta Institute of Technology Manager Judy Pedersen (Canada), Chairman of the WPC Energy Youth Committee Shamus Hardy, and others, attended the session.

The initiative proposes the unification of higher technical educational institutions of the world into a single Energy Hub under the auspices and coordination of WPC Energy. Significant potential and prospects of the Almaty initiative found understanding and support of the management of WPC Energy, JSC «KBTU» was instructed to prepare a presentation of the evolution of the idea for its international level, which took place on September 18, 2023, in the fields of 24-The World Petroleum Congress in Calgary. According to the results of the presentation, WPC Energy Vice President Jambulat Sarsenov highly appreciated the idea of expanding the Almaty initiative to polytechnic higher education institutions all over the world. In his opinion, only through joint, coordinated efforts is it possible to create conditions under which young people can receive maximum opportunities for growth and self-realization.
Jambulat Sarsenov emphasized that issues of professional formation and creative potential of young professionals of the industry historically are among the priorities and considered by WPC Energy as one of the key directions of development of international cooperation, oriented on the strategic perspective.

He also noted that the Kazakhstan National Committee WPC Energy has considerable experience in supporting talented youth, and the Kazakh side is ready to provide all possible assistance to the expansion of cooperation between the oil and gas business, leading universities and science research centers around the world to implement the ideas of the initiative.

As a result, new industry leaders will appear on the market, capable of making the impressive technological breakthrough that we are all waiting for. We believe that the youth dimension of WPC Energy will become one of the catalysts for such breakthroughs,” Jambulat Sarsenov said at the end of his speech. - The future of the energy sector depends on young and talented people, and as Vice President for Youth Policy, I am ready to provide all possible support in their aspirations to development and success! » - Vice President of WPC Energy promised.
